French multimedia company Kozoom have announced that european sports broadcaster Eurosport will be showing 3 one-hour shows of the 9th Predator International 10-Ball Pool Championships, starting in July and running thru August.

SPEARHEADED BY THREE former world champions, two former world No. 1s and the reigning women’s world titlist, the Philippine billiards squad to the 25th Southeast Asian Games aptly deserves the “Dream Team” tag.
Hall of Famer Efren “Bata” Reyes and fellow ex-world titlists Alex Pagulayan and Ronnie Alcano should easily mow down the opposition in the biennial SEA Games set Dec. 9 to 18 in Vientiane, Laos.
Dennis Orcollo and the veteran Django Bustamante, both of whom have held the premier spot in the international pool circuit, are the other big guns in the men’s squad assembled by the Billiards and Snooker Congress of the Philippines.
Reigning world 10-ball women’s champion Rubilen Amit leads the women’s squad that includes Iris Rañola and Mary Ann Basas.
The BSCP is so confident of its players, it issued a challenge to PSC chair Harry Angping to form his own billiards team and pit it against the “Dream Team.”
“This is the team that he (Angping) shooed away while practicing at the Rizal Memorial, [the one] he doesn’t want to support,” said billiards president Arturo Ilagan.
“Maybe we could put a prop bet that if his team-he can import foreigners-wins, we’ll give him the BSCP, but if he losses, he will support all the Filipino athletes and then resign.”

The Villar Cup has also allotted six slots for players residing in Iloilo and the nearby provinces.
There will be a qualifying tournament, which will also serve as the Western Visayas Regional Villards Billiards Championship, a day before the main draw.
