Originally from the Philippines but get this also plays for Canada due to the fact that for his Dad managed a pool hall in Canada which helped his game tremendously. His original name was Alejandro but he changed it to Alex Salvador Pagulayan. Interesting enough instead of one nickname he has several which is unique in the billiard player world such as “The Lion” and “The Killer Pixie”. Alex plays both Pool and Snooker to a professional level. His Dad managed a pool hall in Canada which help his game tremendously. Pagulayan’s parents left the Philippines to go to Canada when Alex was 13. He’s from Isabela in the Philippines but was brought up in Toronto, Canada. He went back to the Philippines in 2004 and is especially known of his relaxed demeanour while playing. Alex is a crowd favourite at professional {Pool|American Billiards|Pocket Billiards|8ball|9ball} events, and is well-liked because of his {funny|humorous|jokey} interaction with the crowd.
